Standard Mileage Rate Increase

The Internal Revenue Service announced on September 9, 2005 an increase to the standard mileage rates for the final four months of 2005.

Starting Sept 1. thru Dec 31, 2005 the rate will increase to 48.5 cents a mile for all business miles driven.

The rate for the first eight months of 2005 was 40.5 cents per mile.
